![]() When I tried to choose Zangief the game said to me in a deep voice: I tried Blanka, then I tried Vega, then I tried Ken. I tried for Cammy next, but it still wouldn't let me have it. So I went over to Guile and it wouldn't let me select him either. Every time I tried it gave me this strange buzzing noise, kind of like when you tried to enter a door you don't have a key for in Metal Gear Solid. Oddly though, it wouldn't let me select her. I tried to select Chun Li as she's always been my go-to character. I pressed start which sent me to the select screen, which looked normal enough, except what sounded like the select screen music from Mortal Kombat 3 was playing instead. And when I pressed the "insert coin" button, which instead of the usual sound it game a scream. Also the Copyright Capcom text was mysteriously missing. But instead it was just the Super Street Fighter II Turbo title, but in red with what looked to be blood pouring down from it. So I started up the game, expecting the normal "movie" to play-the one with Ryu in a fighting stance while some other characters show up. That should be a red flag, along with Norton Internet Security warning me the file was suspicious. ![]() "Here's hoping it doesn't give me a virus."Īfter the file was done downloading, I went to the download folder only to see it not named something like "SSFIIT" or "Super_Street_Fighter_II_turbo" or something like that. So not thinking to use the search bar I just kept scrolling down until I found it: Street Fighter II Turbo. These Hallows, Overwitch, Team Castle III, Tale of Link and other games I don't think were ever in arcades were all over the site. ![]() It had all sort of weird games I had never heard of. It was called "Totally not evil arcade rooms " The name would be enough to deter me away, but since I'm a Creepypasta protagonist I needed to click on it. So looking on Google I clicked the first site I found. The problem is, I didn't know where to look despite the fact that I just downloaded like five roms prior. So, understandably I decided to go rom hunting. Most specifically, I love the Super Street Fighter II Turbo version. I just love that game and that franchise. So I was looking for some of my favorite games to add to it, and after Turtles in Time and Mortal Kombat I decided to look for Street Fighter II. So as you can guess, I have an arcade emulator. However, with me being a poor jobless sixteen-year-old, I do not have the space or the money to have a lot of arcade cabinets, and not every single one has been released in some way shape or forum. Games like Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Bionic Commando, Mortal Kombat, all great! You technically get unlimited lives or continues, they always had cool music and sprites and many were just really fun. So I love old video games, with one of my favorite kinds of retro games being arcade games. A rewrite of an older story, about why you should be careful when downloading a rom for an emulator.
